Dear All,
I am creating LSMW to update only PA and Time administrators for the employees. As per the changes in PA & Time administrtors over the course of time. For e.g. I want to assign PA and time administrator codes as shown below.
4100482 | 01.02.2013 | PA | TM |
4100482 | 01.08.2013 | PA1 | TM |
4100482 | 31.12.2013 | PA2 | TM1 |
4100482 | 01.01.2014 | PA2 | TM1 |
I tried creating LSMW via Copy and create options. In both the options, the positions assigned in all the IT0001 records are getting over written by the position assigned in the latest IT0001 record. Though in the OM table the data is intact. Then I have to run RINTE report to integrate the position data correctly.
Please suggest, what am I missing while creating the LSMW so that the position data does not get effected.
Regards
Simran Longia
This is possible but create the LSMW from PA40 and NOT pa30. IT 0 and 1 should be changed from PA40.
Off course you can change the customizing if you want to update directly in PA30 but thats is a definite NO

Normally changes in IT 1 should be done in PA40 pers action. If any IT 1 change involves changes in PA/PSA or EG/ESG change, it should include IT 7 & 8 also, since the new grouping/s may require changes in WSR, any changes in Pay scale type/are etc.

Hi Simran,
You cannot change the PA directly in IT0001 (PSA you can change), let me know confirm that you are changing PA in IT0001,
If you are inserting data with Start date 01.02.2013 as per above, if End date in LSMW is 31.12.9999 as as default then it will overwrite between the records. You need to both BEGDA & ENDDA as a input file during creation of LSMW.
