CATS Workflow

Hi all

Im configuring CATS for my client.

I setup data entry profile as below as shown in the attachment.

I have also created  Org structure for the approval process.

In SWe2, I have configured the event to trigger the workflow..

Finally when I enter data in CAT2 Im receiving the error message " An error occurred while starting the workflow"

Where do I need to link Workflow WS40001001 in swe2  with Task ID  TS40007901 in DE profile.

Please advise

Shouldn't you be assigned the WS workflow template to the CATS profile and not the TS task?  I'm assuming the TS task is part of the WS workflow template.

Should I assign Workflow template to CATS profile? Could you pls  tell where it must be assigned..    If I assign it in the place where I showed in the screen above  in DE profile its taking in  task ID not WF.

Hmm.  Didn't realize it only accepts WF Tasks here.  Seems odd.  What you could do is use a workflow task to trigger an event.  That event can trigger a WS workflow template.  There are functions and class methods out there to raise an event.  You should be proficient in SAP Workflow to do this or have someone that is to do it.  Requires ABAP.

Thanks for the information.I was able to create WF, rule, event and agent assignment in task.But when I save CAT2 im still receiving the error "An error occurred while starting the workflow".How can a CREATED event be called in CAT2.Kindly advise.

There are sample workflow tasks out there to reference/copy.  For example, task 20000460 'CATS:  Approval by Supervisor'.

Thankyou for the information.Finally I was able to configure the CATS workflow with approval procedure with the reference task TS31000007
