Check the attached wiki link to setup RFC connection. If this not already setup then ask your basis team to setup RFC connection. Before creating the IDT connection test the RFC connection in sm59.

SAP BW With RFC JCO Connections In Information Design Tool - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki

if you set the manual call back then add higlighted parameters in the IDT connection.

    • Hi Hung,

The RFC failed to Register indicates an issue with the BW environment.

      1. check that you have the authorizations correct create/change S-RFC_ADM

      2. If correct authorization exists for creating the RFC then Check that the host and gateway are populated correctly in the SM59/ TCP IP RFC created.

      3. If you have a load balancer on the bw side, set the host to one of the instances and not the main Instance.

      4. Check that your version of BW is patched according to note:2000566 - Gateway host/service for Data Federator RFC callback inconsistent

Delete RFC Destinations and the Re-generate

You must create new entries and RSADMIN

      RSDRI_DF_CONFIGURE should create valid entries.

If you still have issues, please open a support incident and we can investigate your settings and environment.
