Hi,

I am in process of creating BI Roles, Have few questions.

Requirement is to authorize user to execute all the reports based on data targets in Info Area 002 and 003. 002 and 003 are child nodes for 001…

Questions is if I authorize 001 will the system pick 002 and 003 or do I need to authorize specifically 002 and 003.

Thanks

Auth on 001 should pick all child areas.

Hi,

Best way is to have authorization in infoareas 002 and 003 (to be specific) because if you will apply the authorization in 001, what if you have added another child node which is 004 then it will be added automatically to the authorization of the users..

Using RSINFOAREA under S_RS_COMP will allow flat value authorizations, not hierarchy.

You need to use 0TCTIFAREA object with the new authorization concept( TCODE RSECADMIN).

Maintain hierarchy master data for 0TCTIFAREA, need to create authobjects and assign under S_RS_AUTH in PFCG role creation process.
