Hi All,

We are having a NON SAP System in place.

We have developed an app which " can capture the EMPLOYEE time & expenses data only " related to HR module.

Now we want to integrate the source app to SAP Sucessfactors cloud system.

Can anyone of you please help us in achieving this integration.

Which integration tools do we need to use either 1. SAP Hana cloud integration (HCI), 2. SAP Sucessfactors integrator 3. SAP Process Integration (PI).

How can we integrate this kind of scenario.

Shaker:

Just to understand better... What is your scenario exactly? do you want to extract employee data from SFSF to your time and expense app? (that would be if you have SFSF EC acting as the employee master).... or is it you want to extract time and expense data to SFSF - EC? (where to btw?)...final goal being to do something with the data? Actually I think you just need an FTP server to exchange CSV files.

Best,

Antoine

Antoine Foucault,

We have developed an HR App (uses NON SAP System as a backend) which can capture (we will enter the data manually ) the employees " time & expenses data " only.

In our scenario the source is our HR App & Target will be success-factors cloud system & we need choose the interface type.

Now we want to send this data to the success-factors cloud system for the payroll generation process & it has to revert back with the necessary information.

So, to send the data from our HR App to SAP success-factors cloud system we need an interface.

We want to send the data to be automated process but not an manually interaction which should be required.

My query is which interface will be helpful for us to send the data from our App to SAP success factors system.

Should we use either SAP HCI, SAP PI or is there any integrator inbuilt with success-factors system.

Hi Shaker,

I don't think you need any SAP HCI o PI in this case... just simply push a CSV file from your app to an SFTP server and then import it into SFSF... you can use a scheduler in SFSF to automate the import... during import in SFSF you also have to specify where you want your data to go... the initial data export to SFTP must be handled in your app though. I don't see any problem in SFSF generating an OK message back to your app after that.

So SFSF scheduler could be regarded in your case as your inbuilt integrator; you can check following notes for more info.

2087993 - FTP: Automating Data Imports and Exports via a Scheduler - BizX Platform

SAP HCI o PI is used to bridge SAP ECC to SFSF BizX or EC .... not really a use case for non SAP landscape.

for custom apps we don't provide standard iflows

however, we provide templates which can help you automate your transfer ie delta based, instead of CSV and FTP

ie typically same data is sent to SFSF from third party vendors ie Time etc, you can enhance this template to fix your requirement, we provide basic template etc, i would recommend HCI, have you checked integration center too?
