Incorrect Fixed duration in SNP PDS

Former Member

  Hi,

We are maintaining the capacity for “SNP Bucket Capacity” with number of periods as 7 days for resources in SAP APO.

However when we CIF the PDS the fixed duration for the activity is getting populated as 1 Day instead of 7 Days.

I have attached the document with setting for reference, request you to provide your input to resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Sanjog Mishrikotkar

Hello Sanjog, How did you resolved the issue?  We have a similar issue.   Duration is 80 hours fixed in ECC master receipe.    Resource is available for 8 hours per day, which means 10 days fixed duration.

In APO, fixed duration is 4 days (80 / 24 hours) = 3.33 so 4 days.

Ideally SNP fixed duration should be 10 days, as available SNP Bucket capacity is 8 hours per day and not 24 hours

Hi Bhavesh

You are mixing two master data's which would be used as combinations. 80 hours fixed in recipe means that this phase will take that much time. Therefore it is shifted as 4days. On the other hand the data in resource means available capacity. This means 8 hours per day, Logically what you are expecting should be visible in process order.

Try to put 10days in recipe, CIF the same and check what do you see.

Rahul

Rahul is correct.   The PDS is correct.  You are confusing 2 different aspects:  Resource duration versus resource capacity utilization
