We have out database mirrored. Has anyone ever gotten the Partner Failover attribute to work on the connection string.

Thanks

I did find a post from Chris and I will test it and close the item if it works.

Are you attempting to use a Failover Partner or Failover Clustering?

To my knowledge (and with experimentation) Clustering does not really work. (if a failover occurs you still need to re-connect).

Failover Partner

Parameter I've used is:  FailoverPartner='partnerDB'

Where the partnerDB is the name of the server set up as the Failover Partner within SQL Server.

(Using the SQL Native Client driver in the connection)
