how to restrict auto refresh

Hi Gurus,

I am working Input form. As part of the same, we do have selections and every time a selection is changed, the form gets refreshed which is not acceptable to business.

Business wants this refresh to happen only upon user specifically selecting the "REFRESH".

Request your advise.

Hi VS,

I was searching the SCN for the same type of requirement and seen that this is unanswered. I think the best solution for this which worked for me is.

In the Page axis. Keep all the items like for example

VERSION = EPMSELECTMEMBER(make sure it fills all the members where you are able to get the pop up and select the respective member)

AUDIT_TRAIL= similar like above i.e VERSION

CURRENCY= similar like above

SCOPE = similar like above

Now have one more hidden cell where EPMOLAPMEMBER refers this uniquename in the first section and make sure u refer this EPMSELECT MEMBER

this will solve the problem.

Automatic Refresh on Context Members is already disabled...At no point we have checked/Selected/enabled.

If its unchecked, it will work...

if you are using the epmselectmember for selecting members..then its working fine...

until and unless you press refresh button manually, the report doesn't refresh automatically

I checked in my system, its working fine for me..

HI,

Just wanted confirm that have you used page axis in your report? If yes then it is default behavior of system. When you change page axis then every time report gets refreshed. In that case you can use EPMContextmember for selection.

We have multiple selections like -

1st Selection -

Version - Actual

Product / Prod Hierarchy

2nd Selection

Version - Budget

Now everytime user is changing the Product / Prod Hierarchy, form immediately going for refreshing the whole report.

Business wants that the form to be refreshed only when User selects "REFRESH" Button.

Kindly advise.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "SELECTIONS"????

You can make member selections in:

1. Context

2. Axis dimension members

3. =EPMMemberSelection

4. VBA code

Go to user options ==> Navigation Tab ==> "Automatic Refresh on Context Change"

If "Automatic Refresh on Context Change" option is enable then please disable that option.
