COPA extraction: Init selection

Hello all,

we want to extract COPA data into BW by using init / delta. So far it works fine. But an init without restriction in the selection criterias in the infopackage takes very long. My question is now, do I have better to restrict the selection of period/year in my init infopackage to get a better extract performance? What are good selections? If I dont restrict it to any values what does next delta do?

Is it worth to have history cubes and actual data cubes because of the expected big number of recordsets?

Any suggestions, experiences are welcome.
