How does a Contract fit into the Document Flow for extraction to BW. ?

I need to create a report with Contract and Contract type details along with open contract values and quantities. This need is in BW. Can this be derived from 2lis_11_VAHDR by filtering on Document type ? Do sales orders that fall under a contract have the contract number in their reference field?(assuming it was created by reference)

I don't know if this is the case but contracts is a PO (can be found in 2LIS_02_ITM with Process key 008 and 028).

Additionally the correspondent POs for GR have the contract populated.

Do the difference between the target quantity in PO Contract versus the sum of GR in POs for each contract and you will have the Open Contract Qty.
