Creating BW iView - System Alias not showing - EP6.0 BW3.5 LogonTicket SSO

Hi,

First of all - I give points for good answers

We have set ut a System (Dedicated_R3_System) to our BW 3.5 from EP6.0 (SP14), and the SSO works (typing the BW server url into the adress of browser), but the system does not show up where expected when creating an iView. I have set User Mapping Type to admin;user, as I see that is the answer to similar questions on the forum. A System Alias is also created - as that is another issue going around.

By the way - the Connection test for Connectors fails with the messsage: "Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties are correct."

The only System showing is "SAP_LocalSystem".

Has anyone got a good clue for this? I will be generous in awaring points

Best,

Bjorn

Check you system object's permission settings and make sure the user you sign in has the permission to the system, also you need to check the "End User" box.

BTW, you'll need to enable user mapping with your UME configuration either via ConfigTool or direct editing, or you'll get errors when you try to save user mapping data even if you can see the syetm alias.

Hi,

Thanks for the answer

Now we are able to see the system alias, but I've checked with the operations guys, but they say they have not changed anything. Could this be the result of a system restart?
