1. We release the request from the client in which we do the development (in your case, Client 050)

2. When you started development, you would have been prompted for creating a transport request.

3. Type in trx code SE09, select "Workbench Requests" & "Modifiable" checkboxes, hit enter

4. You'll be able to see the request which you created. 5. Expand the request & click on the task below & hit the "Release" icon at the top.

6. You might/might not be able to release the task depending on the way Basis has set up the transport release mechanism.

7. If not, you have to give Basis the request no. & ask them to move the same to the test environment.

Pls. award points if this helps...

Normal we will release from dev to testing and then testing to production (here all are diff systems).

In your case u developed in one client and testing in another client in same system. So no need to release to any where until unless if u want to transport it to another system.

Thanks

Dear SB,

when you are starting the development you have to create the request. The client which you create the request take the owner ship of the request.

If your testing is done in the the client 100 where you have data and now you want to transport the request to quality system the you release it from client 50 where your request is created and then it can be transported.

Hope this helps, pls reward points if its helpful to you.

Hi SB,

You have done the development in client 50 hence you can release the request from 50 as that should be the configured transport client(usually).

1. Go to transaction SE09

2. Select user & modifiable request check box and press enter.

3. You'll be able to see the request against the user id selected which is not released.

4. Check for the consitency of the request and also for the inactive objects.

5. If both are ok, then release the task first and then the request.

6 You are done and you can check in the QA box once you have got the confirmation of the transport.

Cheers

JK
