Transporting queries from BW 3.0B to SAPNetweaver BI 2004NWs

Are they are any constraints on transporting queries (associated components like variables) from BW 3.x system to BI Netweaver? Has anyone tried? The belief is that there should not be any issue since the new BW supports both 3.x and nw 2004s versions of query components? What about workbooks and web reports/templates?

Reason: We have an adhoc querying environment in productive system and not all queries/workbooks are migrated through D to P. We are going through ramp-up and have upgraded our sandbox to NW2004S. Now, we would like to bring queries and workbooks to sandbox from Stage (copy of production) system for regression testing 3.x objects in NW2004s.

Any suggestions?

Hi Bala,

you can transport BW 3.5 queries into a system with SAP NetWeaver 2004s.

If you store the queries the first time with the new query designer, it will be stored in the new enviroment as a SAP NetWeaver 2004s query.

Andreas - we are on 3.0b SP26.. architecturally since 3.5 is same as 3.0B for queries... we should be OK right?

Hello,Could you transport other objects such as cubes, odses and so on with transports from 3.5 to 2004s?
