BRF+ table maintenance issue

Hi Experts,

I have a rather simple querry(I am only a beginner at BRF+).How do you maintain <all> value in decision table?I am trying to create an initiator rule for AR workflow with input values-request type,system(connector) and employee type.I want to input the condition:

employee type=<all>

system=<all>

request type=lock and unlock

result=Z_lock_unlock

what value should I enter for <all>?I tried putting * which system is not accepting.Leaving the field blank doesn't help either-during simulation when I enter any value for the field instead of keeping it blank,no result is returned.I can maintain the condition for all employee types and all system one by one by that will be tedious in case I have many connectors and employee types.Can someone please advise.

Thanks,

Mukund

    Hello Mukund,

    These are the two possible ways to achieve this:

    1. Leaving the cell blank will work, please note these things:

    A. Do not use "is equal to" or "is between" or anything, just leave it completely blank.

    B. If you have already put some value (which I guess you did), just use "clear cell" and it should work fine.

    The blank will not look like { "" } but, it will be like { ... }

    2. using  * with "matches pattern" .

    This will look like [*].

    Kind regards,

    Yashasvi

    Dear Mukund,

    Since Input Column System of your decision table is for all the systems(connectors), then could you try using Context object GRAC_S_REQUEST_RULE _LINE, instead of System, to capture the system provided in the access request.

    Could you try finding the same way, for the  field for Employee type , from GRAC_S_REQUEST_RULE _LINE

    Regards
