Deleting remaining firmed planned order from MS04

Hello All,

This is regarding deletion of remaining firmed planned order from MS04.

The scenario is like this:

We have maintained "Include firmed planned order" in our planning scenario in MS31.

Now,When we create a planned order in operative planning manually (automatically firmed),it gets referenced to simulative planning(because of setting in planning scenario) and can be seen in MS04.

Now,if we convert that operative planned order into purchase requisition/production order,it will get replaced by subsequent element in MD04.

But,In MS04,we can see both planned order and it's subsequent element (like purchase requisition).

Now,If we delete or process the purchase requisition/production order from operative planning (MD04),it disappears from MD04.

But when we see in MS04,the subsequent element of that planned order disappears but the planned order(firmed) remains there.

So,I need to know,How can we delete these remaining planned order from MS04??

Is there any report which we need to run in background periodically??,or, is there any standard way to delete those from MS04??

Regards,

Anuj

Hello Brahmankar

Thank you for your response.

But I want to understand if I use the program RMPLAF00 to delete the planned orders, what will be the criteria for planned order selection (in terms of date), Will it consider all the planned orders for deletion in the past and the future or will it consider all the planned orders till today (if I execute the program today). What's the system behavior here.

If that is true (if system considers all planned order in past and future for deletion or all the past planned orders for deletion), then what is the alternative method to delete the simulative planned orders say till 31st Dec 2015, if I run the program today.

What the standard method/procedure to remove such planned orders from the system ? If running the program is the general case then we have very little option to delete them as per our requirement in bulk.

Request your clarification on the above points.

Regards

Anuj

Hello Anuj,

MPS planned order can be deleted by using report RMPLAF00.

It will delete all the planned order under the planning scenario.

You can use BAPI/FM to delete planned order.

BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_DELETE for particular date selection.

Or use LSMW for MS12.

Hi Rupesh;

Thanks for the info , but if I use this program RMPLAF00 , whether this will also affect the current simulation planned orders which are useful .

I want to use this program RMPLAF00 for deletion of simulation orders , where business dont want these orders since it is causing some issue in implementing APO here.

So if i use this program and if my all orders get deleted , what can be remedial action to regenerate useful orders again

Hello R.Brahmankar,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

So,are these the only possible ways to delete the remaining simulative planned order from MS04?

or,is there any standard configuration which can be done to periodically delete them from MS04?

And, just for my knowledge...What is the significance of these remaining planned orders in MS04?...means this issue must have been faced by many,so, why SAP is not developing any permanent fix for it.

Thank you in advance.

Anuj

Hello Anuj,

As I know there is no standard configuration for it.

If there is no demand and if you take MPS run system will delete all the planned orders in standard SAP which are not firmed. Else manually you can delete it from MS04.

And, just for my knowledge...What is the significance of these remaining planned orders in MS04?...means this issue must have been faced by many,so, why SAP is not developing any permanent fix for it.

I have no idea about it, may SAP can help you. Please raise this to OSS.
