Key Figure modification

Hi BW gurus,

I've a problem with modification of a key Figure that I've definite with:

Aggregation = SUM

Ex. Aggregation = Max.

Now I need to change this definition with:

Aggregation = Max

Ex. Aggregation = Max.

but the field Aggregation is not available for changes.

Is there any one that can help me, please!!!

Hi Gianfranco,

If you have included your key figure in a data target and loaded data, the system will not let you make the changes. Is it possible for you to delete the data?

Yes of course...but do you think that I have to delete data from data target also in Production envinronment?

before you transport your modifications you need to delete the data also in production.

This is true for all infoproviders containing that keyfigure (I think ods objects not enabled for BEX reporting do not count in this scenario).

Hi Gianfranco,

I don't know how but I have a key figure which is used in many ODS and those ODS contains data but even then I am able to made changes in Aggregation from SUM to Max. It gives warning in saving and activation but that is to adjust aggregate only. This means it is possible to change this setting without deleting data.

(This is a quantity key figure)

Rohit,

as long as a ods is not used for reporting, the keyfigure represents nothing else then just a table field. The issues come up if you activate it for bex reporting or if you add it to a cube and load data to it.
