Event creation based on value in database

Hello Expects-

Long story short- My client have foreign exchange business. When a store reaches 80% of its sales target, management need to get alert mail.

Right now- front end application is Java base and Database is DB2. We built few Universe and Webi reports for general reports.

Is there any way that we can use Alerts in crystal reports and scheduling concept in CMC and generate alert mails or any other process to achieve this.

Please let me know the possible way.

You can always write an external script (VBScript or Java Script) which periodically validates your KPI of interest (in your case sales target) and generates a event file. You may need to create a event which monitors your event file and trigger the schedule upon your event file generation.

    • Hi Manikandan Elumalai-

      Thanks for your reply.

We taught of that. Java Script basically create a file when reaches sales target. When file places in the server, BO report get schedule. Accordingly mail will sent to user.

But here we are looking with out external system interaction. By only using BO.

      Is there any way?
