hi,
what is better:
Install BC on developement system and then transport it on production
or
install BC on developement for tests and then again install on production (assuming that in both cases I do not change anything)
Regards,
Andrzej
Hi Andrzej,
it is always better to do all developments (even the activation) in the dev system. Your originals will stay in the dev system then and you will have copies of the objects in the target systems. This will also prevent later issues while transporting stuff from dev to prod.
Additionally, there will be actions in the source system which cannot be done in the prod environment at all and you have to do these things in the dev.
regards
Siggi

Hi dear!
I woould be more peremptory: you have to this activity on your DEV and then to transport it on PRD environment!
Why should you "install BC on developement for tests and then again install on production (assuming that in both cases nothing changes)" ?
Because if your company has a development environment, probably, sooner or later, you will develop something (and not only use the std content with no modification...). When you will need to do only a little customization on your installed std objects and you didn't imported them in PRD via transport request, situation you have to manage will not be the easiest one (to avoid inconsistencies and so on...).
Hope it helps!
Bye,
Roberto

Hi,
Its always better to install BC in dev sys and transport them to prod sys. Even though it is same, keping in view the support at later stage, companies do as I said above.
