Hi Balaji,

You would reconstruct the "green" requests. Reconstruction would generally happen duw to any of these reasons:

1. Accidental deletion of the worng request.

2. Any change of logic in the update rules/transfer rules due to which you reconstruct the request.

3. In case of a full load if the new request is "red" you delete the new request and reconstruct the latest "green" request.

4. In case of compression if you want to delete a particular requeat you would delete all the data and then reconstruct all the needed requests.

hi dinesh

thanks for info given, but having doubts in your statments

like the 3rd and 4th point I din't get U "In case of a full load if the new request is "red" you delete the new request and reconstruct the latest "green" request.

4. In case of compression if you want to delete a particular requeat you would delete all the data and then reconstruct all the needed requests.

if the data is compressed u cant able to delete by request wise no?

let me know what u want to say? Please

You must have it in green in your PSA...

Hi,

When you compress the data , you cannot delete a particular request.

If you want to delete any request after compressing then you need to first delete all the data. Then reconstruct only the rest of the requests needed.

Hi Balaji,

Point # 3: What I meant was that in some cases of full load all the data in the cube is deleted. Now if your load fails then you would retain the latest "green" request.

Point # 4: In compressed cube you cannot delete a individual request. So the only option is to delete all the data in the cube and reconstruct the requests you need.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Let's take a scenario. Suppose u have scheduled 2 reuests A & B. The request A is above B. At the end B shows red and A as green. But later both will be red. Now you can delete both requests and reload request B. The you can go to reconstrauction tab and select request A and press reconstruction if teh update type is PSA and then to Data targets. I hope this is helpful

Hi dear !

Look here just to have more info...

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f2/99223803926e39e10000009b38f8cf/content.htm

Surely, you must have the requests not in yellow (and everyhing, even if not in the cube, at least stored in PSA)...

and, if you reconstruct from the ODS, consider that you takes data from the changelog (so, everything already activated...)

Hope it helps!

you can able to reconstruct a request if the the update type is PSA and then data target.

If the data is right upto psa and any error in the data after the psa. you can delete the request and reload using reconstruction.

hi Raju/vsn,

I guess you have to manually edit the error record in PSA to fix the error record, save PSA and then you reconstruct this data request, right?

Thanks!
