How to change license key in CRE

I have installed Crystal report enterprise client tool on my windows 7 system with temporary license key.

Now I am looking to replace my temp license key with permanent key. I an unable to find Enter key option (which is easily available under help menu in other tool like Lumira or Dashboard) in Crystal report enterpriser client tool.

Resolution 2:

If you do not have Crystal Reports Designer 2011 installed on the required machine, you can proceed with below registry changes.

NOTE: Before making any changes to Windows Registry, it is strongly recommended to take backup of it.

• Open Windows Registry [Start >> Run >> regedit]
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SOFTWARES >> Wow6432Node >> SAP BusinessObjects >> Suite XI 4.0 >> Crystal Reports >> Keycodes >> CR Dev
• Modify the value in '(Default)' with Current Date in YYYYMMDD format

Here you have mention about crystal report 2011. do you know the location for Crystal report enterprise.

That is the location for CR For Enterprise as well!

There is folder for dev which is 2013. also one more folder Java but it dose not contain license.

This image is for Crystal report 2013 where i can see license key.

This is image for Crystal report Enterprise where serial key is not available.

The new key needs to be placed under 'CR DEV'.

For CR 2013 we can use CR DEV but what about CR Enterprise ?

There is not option to update license key for Crystal report enterprise as per below KBA

Hi Atul

So far, everything that Abhilash suggested should be working. As this is CR4E, you more that likely also have a support contract with SAP and you should thus be able to create a free phone support case. My suggestion would be to do that...
