HI ,
Can anybody have a document regarding Best Strategy for Archiving(Main archiving objects ) .pls share .
And also What is percentage of compression of data after archiving .
Regards,
Krishna.
Hi Krishna,
I think , to reach out to SAP Data volume management guys would be the right approach to deduce the best strategy for archiving objects. But a search for SAP data volume management best practices guide would help you with a headstart.
Data would be compressed upto a factor of 5 after archiving in SAP Data archiving process.
Thanks and Regards,
Dharshan A

Hi,
Hi,
Prior to any Data volume management implementation , it's good to read the Data Management guide.
also get the EWA and other DB02 reports from your basis team . they should have info on the largest growing tables, indexes in the system. Once the tables are identified , review the information in the DMG and identify best practices.
Archiving is one approach , there are other methods as well, deletion, summarization, prevention of data.
