Hi,
Can some help me to map the below requirement w/o an enhancement.
Each year only 3 maintenance calls with a frequency of 3 months. No call for Dec month.
Package | Description | 2014 | |||||||||||

Thanks for the reply.
Separate factory calendar for one scenario, i doubt that.
Using Offset in strategy I am able to achieve it , but again it requires restart of plan every year.

Though you don't want to use a factory calender and you have already worked with offsets and you dont want a manual restart every year, I would suggest the below solution in your case:
1. You want to make your plan to execute only for 9 Months, then first of all make Scheduling period = 9 MON.
2. Start your Maintenance plan using IP10 with start date as start of the year (such that it provides you first call with the date of April). Hence in IP10, you can see the calls from April to September.
3. Once you have achieved this, plan a new background job of IP30 with a frequency of 1 Year and mention the date as start of the year (same as you have mentioned in Step 1) which will restart your maintenance plan from that date.
4. If you have already created a background job for IP30 (suppose it is daily or something), remember to exclude this plan from that job.
I hope this should work for you as I have already executed this scenario earlier.
Please do reply if you have any further queries for the same.

Greetings,
Please combine offset and cycle approaches. Use the following strategy:
3 Maintenance Packages, each with a cycle of 12 months.
"Spring" Package 1 has an offset of 3 months.
"Summer" Package 2 has an offset of 6 months
"Fall" Package 3 has an offset of 9 months.
Start the Maintenance Plan in December to meet your requirement.
Thanks Sebastian & Chintan ..
If you do not want to use user-exit IPRM0002, it seems a factory calendar is the answer, where there won't be any work days in December, January and February. (9months working) . Your plan will be a single cycle plan with cycle period 3months, with start of cycle in any of the months with 'X' mark of your picture.
See what other experts have to say.
