Ghost alerts raised for IDocs NOT in error state ?

Hello,

I've activated the technical system monitoring in Solution Manager with the standard template metric for inst product SAP ABAP Basis 7.30.

On one of our systems I reveive alerts ABAP_IDOC_ERRORS related to the following metrics:

When I check the list of IDoc in the system I see that the total amount of IDocs is equivalent to the number of IDocs that are "in error status", at the same time I don't see any error status in any of the IDocs

Everything seems fine in the managed system...is the metric reporting false alerts ? Or maybe the solman is unable to read properly the status of the IDocs ?

Any suggestion on how to further troubleshoot this issue ?

Hi Nicola,

What is the ST-PI version of your Managed System? If it is ST-PI- 2008_1 SP10 then please apply SAP note 2062497.

Great! Yes I have ST-PI 2008_1_700 on all the servers...I'll apply the note and tell you if it solves the problem.

I've installed the OSS note in Solution Manager and in the managed server and the alerts have "magically" disappeared 🙂

In your IDoc list selection, have you tried Start Date from years ago? You might be surprised there are a number of stuck idocs in there
