Recovering from corrupted IBase entries

Hello World,

During maintenance it was discovered that several systems had double entries in the iBase list (transaction IB53).

Since nobody could explain the origins of those dual entries, a decision was made to delete some of them

To "clean up" the list, the older of two entries of our CRM Production system was deleted in the iBase of our Solution Manager system.

The assumption was that the older entries were artifacts from previous system moves.

But as it turned out those two older entries were still referenced in a lot of different areas, and now those references have become invalid, causing errors all over the system.

Is there a simple way to recover those entries, w/o(!) the need to rebuild the entire iBase?

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Hi Donaldo,

Please check the following notes and KBA:

Thanks

Hi Vikram,

Thus far you seem to be putting us on the right track.

You got any idea how we could recover the already deleted entries?

One idea is to look for ways how to transport said entries from the SolMan development system.

Do you know how IBase entries could be transported and/or recreated if deleted in error?

Hi Donaldo,

We went through something similar, though not exactly the same situation, about a year ago. We had leftover iBase components from deleted systems that needed to be cleaned up, and we weren't having much luck. I did eventually solve it, and detailed my solution in , though I'm not sure if it's the same situation as yours. However, if you read through the comments on that thread, you can see the steps I took, and maybe something in there will be helpful to you.

Regards,

Matt
