ELM- Is campaign mass generation possible ?

Hi All,

Requirement is to create multiple campaigns through upload in CRM.

In ELM we don't have any option to create mass campaigns.

Please suggest how to achieve this?

Hi,

ELM is used for mass upload of BP for target list. You need to maintain all the BP details in Xls and save it is (CSV) format.

Hi Nalini

ELM is for the Mass Import of BP's into a Target Group.

It is not intended for direct Campaign generation.

You'll need to look at other options for what you wish to achieve.

Could you expand on your requirement further?

Hi Arden,

Thank U for your response.

Campaign plans shared by the business need to be uploaded on monthly – basis.

BPs and Leads to be created with reference to the Campaign ID generated after upload.

Business would not be able to enter the campaigns manually, as the number of campaigns created on a monthly-basis will be huge (roughly around 300-400 per month).

Have you looked at the Campaign Automation features provided by SAP.

Thanks for the sharing the link, I have gone through it.

Campaign automation uses already available campaigns and automates the processes based on customer responses.

But it is not giving any information to create campaigns batch wise.

Please suggest.

It is possible that the same Campaign is rerun, scheduled as a Batch Process.

Basic Set-up is as follows

Schedule Target Group Rebuild each day at Time A

Schedule Same Campaign to Run each day at Time B (a Time after Target Group Rebuild has completed)

Is this the sort of functionality you require?

This is not our requirement.

As how we are creating BPs and activities through ELM (mass upload) like that we want to upload and create multiple Campaigns.

Is it possible through Web UI or else we need to do it from GUI ??

Hi Nalini

I've outlined to the best of my ability the SAP Standard options.

I believe any other options would require some degree of (significant) custom development.

My recommendation would be that you experiment further with the SAP Standard tools as delivered.

On this requirement I would try and make the business requirement fit into what is SAP Standard, rather than the other the other way around.

Hi Sri,

Thank you for sharing the doc.

While the document describes about creation of Campaigns with reference to addresses, whereas our business requires the reverse scenario.

Actual scenario is to create campaigns (around 300 per month through upload because manually single person cannot create), and create the business partners with reference to the Campaign IDs created in this step.

There is planned and actual count of prospects for every Campaign.

The actual number of business partners created with reference to the campaigns will be extracted by the business for reporting purposes.

In your business the 300 campaigns per month will be executed for different TGs and different communication channel? Do you mean send 300 different questionnaires to the BPs in 300 different

TGs?

Normally the reusing of campaign could be created from a campaign template or executed periodically . But for the standard ELM function, it is not possible to create the campaigns from the

BPs in the external list.
