Maintenance Planning - Cost Estimate - Scheduled Calls vs Manual Calls

Hello, Experts

I have been searching for other questions directly related to the below with no success. Could you please assist.

Are Manual Calls created in IP10 excluded from the cost plan estimate?

If yes (which I believe is the case) is there good an explanation as to why they are excluded in the estimation?

Our Contracts department would like to determine the costs for the full length of their contract term (and would like this to include both scheduled calls and manual calls). Based on previous review and testing it does not appear that manual calls are considered when this estimation is determined.

Please see the below example to better explain my question 😊

This maintenance plan will cover all orders within the 2 yr contract term

This is a strategy plan (IP42) based on run hours. The start in cycle is set to begin at 9000 hrs in IP10.

There will be 12 scheduled calls with call 12 (planned date 01/17/2017) being the last possible order before the contract ends

The cost estimate is ran to determine what the full costs will be for all 12 scheduled calls

Now a manual call is created. There are planned costs associated with the manual call

Once the order is released

The maintenance plan costing (IP31) works from simulated scheduling of the plan. Therefore I would not expect it to include any manual calls. It will only look at the expected scheduled calls in the period selected.

    Hi Sarah wallace,

As rightly said above by Paul, the MP costing is to determine expected cost estimate for scheduling period and the Manual call option is given to call object based on any contingency ( which most likely will happen in real time or close to real time).

    Program - RISTRA30 (IP31)

will consider only "schedule call" (mpla)

    Thank you
