Hi All,
I'm a newbie here. I'm an accountant who is transitioning to IT. I've just completed an SQL course and was going to start on Crystal Reports next. My manager told me that SAP is phasing out Crystal Reports. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and if so what is their replacement product?
Many Thanks,
Tom
I don't think SAP is phasing out Crystal Reports, but they seem to keep it on a diet in terms of new features. While the user base (millions) probably guarantees that SAP will keep Crystal Reports alive and (slowly) improving, they might believe that it threatens sales of their more expensive enterprise-level BI solutions.

Crystal reports is not being phased out. Next version of CR and CR for Enterprise are being worked on now. No release dates though.
Not sure where the idea of CR being phased out is arrived at. Would love to see any supporting documentation, etc.
