another one here.
The earliest retroactive accounting date on control record is given by the system or manually entered? If entered manually then who decides that and what are the criteria behind that?

It's maintained manually on PA03 just when we are about to exit payroll and usually the client decides on this date. It looks up table T549Q-PABRJ and PABRP to set the date.
Once set no more master data changes are allowed on employees past this date. We usually use previous year date 01/01/2014 in order to stop employees from unnecessary retro's.
