my client was asking " Rahul why at all you need a PPDS hiuristic"   ?

i said i can do infinite planning without resource consideration

evry hiuristic like say SAP_PP_002  has a specific purpose like planning for standard lots ,planning for dependent requirements .

but he said what you say is a " General statement  rather a bookish statement"   I want a specific reply to the point , .

Can anyone of you experts help me with  " the exact "answer ??

you can use ppds heuristic if you want to plan using detailed routing / recipe .

It also does to the second planning as compared to SNP which is a daily or weekly bucket

Good for short term or raw materials etc

You can consider shelf life of materials while planning
