How to Upload Data Load for Action Infotype - PA0000 Using HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION or BDC Program

Hi Experts,

I am trying to upload - data for Actions Infotype - PA0000,Using Function Module :HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION.

But i am getting a error message saying "Personnel Number not yet assigned".

Can anyone help me in understanding - How to upload data for Actions Infotype?

I have went through few - discussions on the same in SCN,but in Vain .

I have thought of uploading via BDC Program(from PA30) but - for a single PERNR there are multiple records.

1. Hiring Action

2. Separation

At Transaction Level - Employment Status is 3(Which mean Active) by default .

Here comes the tricky part(Atleast for me )

How to change Employment Status for SEPARATION Action Type,Employment Status to '0' Which was grayed out.

Please share your thoughts.

As Venkatesh ,Suggested you cannot change Employment Status and Special Employment Satus,those statuses were changed when a action type is triggered,in your case when Action Type - Hiring is created for a Personnel Number - Employment Status would Active and for Action Type Separation - Employment status would be Inactive.

What you can do is , Create a upload program for required action type and specify required details - Position,Personnel Area,Employee group,ESub group if required.

You can create LSMW for this,as we Actions Infotype doesn't have any subtypes,Only recording would suffice in this case.

From Menu ->Goto -> Overview ,You can see list of Action Types for a Personnel Number.

Why do you need a user program?  If you need to load additional data for an existing personnel number, a number of validation rules apply.

You can use LSMW transaction, using a batch recording for a transaction code like PA30.  To load data initially at implementation, or load data for a large number of employees, this can be used.   Personnel number can be assigned manually or by the system depending on the number range in config for NUMKR.  More info available for LSMW in SAP Help portal.

There are 3rd party tools also like Winshuttle, DataSync.

Thanks for replying back.

1.I am not trying to upload additional data,it is a new implementation.

I am aware of Batch Input recording method  - from LSMW - Which can achieved from PA30/PA40 Transaction.

Can you please help in understanding - If there is any Function Module for Insert/update/Delete Records for Infotype PA0000 or How to change Employement Status - for a action type which is always active while creating any Action Type for a PERNR.

As per few discussion in SCN FM : HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION can be used only when we have an existing

PERNR.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

As far i understand we can upload the data with the help of LSMW tool, further employment status and special payment status can not be changed manually since it varies with each action type and it defaults in IT0000 according to the configuration table T529A.

Since you wanted to perform many actions you have to prepare LSMW upload template for each action i.e

Hiring - LSMW one

Transfer - LSMW two

Promotion - LSMW three etc.

Then accordingly system updates the details.
