Dear Experts,
Till last month we had only BW Production System (No BW Dev and BW QA).
We made a System copy of BW Production to BW Dev system, so that we can make changes in BW dev and transport to BW PRD.
So we tried to change the existing DSO in BW Dev System and when we are activating it we are getting Error Message "Transformation 0jXXXXXXX is inactive.Action can not be executed".
However the Transformation "0jXXXXXX" exists in BW PRD system. In BW Dev system, we have another transformation "0DXXXXXX" which is active.
I believe somewhere its pointing to BW PRD transformation.
Please kindly help.

Hi,
Due to the system copy logical mappings will be copied from ecc prod instead of ecc dev.
So seek basis team help and do proper logical mappings between ECC dev and BW dev.
Useful tables to check source/target systems.
RSLOGSYSMAP
RSLOGSYSDEST
RSBASIDOC
Once connections are established properly then you can do below steps.
1. Later replicate your data source from ECC Dev to BW dev.
2. Activate data source at bw side.
3. Continue to activate the rest of the data flow at bw side.
Thanks

Hi,
After table maintenance.
Have you replicate data source into bw?
Have you activated data source at bw?
Later, see your data source/source system details under it.
whether still it shows prod or ecc dev as source instead of table level.
if data source was active then rest of data flow objects to need to make active.
Thanks
Hi,
Try: run program RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE with transaction se38 (this will let you reactivate transformations) than - reactivate DSO again.

As mentioned by Raman, only BI is copied and not ECC. because of this you will have issues at the data source level.
you will find the data source missing or not active .
Kindly check on this.

Hi,
What about other transformations, are they also have different technical names. Seems to be new technical name created for the same transformation in Dev when compared to Prod. you need to check the logical mapping of system names.

Hi,
Sometimes transformation id's will be populated wrongly in the target system. Please check table - RSTRAN to check the link between the installed transformation and source transformation.
Also check with Basis team if they have mapped the logical system of Dev system to Dev R3 as this will also lead to problems. I believe they will be changing the logical system using BDLS t code.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
