Hi Hooi,

That's Right it will allow you to select only one DB but as you said your company is getting merged you only need one DB itself . You need to consolidate balances of two companies into a single company through DTW.

Hope this helps.

Hi guy,

First thanks for the reply and idea, as I know the solution package as:

Database A/Database B, so when I save a DA.pkg and DB.pkg. New From Package only allow us to select one into new company, right?

Please advice...thanks!

Hi,

The first challenge would be: do they have the same settings?

If yes, DTW might be your first option since it is not too difficult but just time consuming.

However, if their settings are different, you may not have option just DTW to merge. It is better closing the old db and creating a fresh new company.

Thanks,

Hi Hooi 77,

As Chintan suggested solution packager will be best and time saving option for you provided that all your G/L and BP master Balances are closed.

If you are not comfortable with Creating new company from solution packager you can also look out for database merging option.

so you mean by you need all open documents and past data in one company?

Better you create fresh company and else you will have data mismatch issue.

close most transaction on current company and create one fresh with minimum import.

You can run solution package to fetch data to new company.

Hi Hooi,

you can merge by using integration framework.
