Hi
I have configured enterprise structure and its assignments, now I am trying to configure technical object in SAP system for self study.
Could some one help me with some suggestions about configuration of technical object. what are to be configured, what are to be created.
Thank you
Renjith
Hi Renjith,
I think we already discuss about Plant Section and Plant Location and you configure it. Now we can go ahead with configuration of Technical Object.
In Technical Object Configuration we have three points at start
1. General Setting (SPRO ----Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-----Technical Objects -- - General Data)
- In this Type of Technical Object is nothing but it is segeration of your equipment. As your process you can use like Equipment group wise.
- Plant section you already configured.
- Planner group and ABC indicators you can ask business to Provide. Planner group may be Mechanica Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance or Instrumental Dept etc.
2. Functional Location - (SPRO ----Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-----Technical Objects --- Functional Location)
- Structural Indicator for it is coding mask for functional location. this you can decide with your business.
- Do some field selection setting one by one.
- Define functional location category as per your requirement.
3. Equipment (SPRO ----Plant Maintenance and Customer Service-----Technical Objects --- Equipment)
- Mention Equipment category (standard we can use as M for Machinary and all)
- DO all the setting
4. Fleet Management - You have Fleet Management (i dont think so as per your business)
These are some steps which we need to configure. If you have any specific question then you can ask.
Please see your business and see the data requirement. Reporting etc
