Problem on lead creation

Hi all,

I have a sudden problem when creating new leads.

Normally, you can enter company and contact information, which later on can be converted to an account.

This was the behavior on test tenant until i noticed a change. It is still working this way on production tenant.

Now, when creating a new lead on test tenant, i have to enter an account (with search help) mandatory.

I find it very strange.

I could not find any setting which makes the entry of an account mandatory on a lead. I also compared test with production but could not find any difference...

Does anyone know how this is behaving this way?

Regards

    Dear all

Appearently, the screen was adapted using the personalization. The field 'use existing account' was flagged and then removed from personalization.

I have now unflagged it and it works as required.

    Thanks

    Hi Micheal,

Contact last name is mandatory from SAP in case of Lead (Marketing), you can check with technical consultant if he can make it non mandatory (though possibilities are less). While for Sales Lead Account is Mandatory not the Contact details. Just check if its Sales Lead or Marketing Lead. FYI.. Regards, K.F.

    Hello Hossain,

I agree with Kamran. Your screenshot looks like to be for Marketing Lead while first for Sales Lead.

    Regards,

I just tried with another user, and there it works correctly.

Could it have anything to do with business roles assigned?

    Regards
