I'm trying to integrate SAP CRM 7.0 with MS Outlook, I installed Desktop Connection for SAP CRM, PE and I made all steps from
Technical Configuration Guide but I've got an error every time when I try to log in: (I've tried a few times)

And also log screen:

Has anyone some ideas how to solve it?

Hello,

regarding SP03, did you download corresponding customization package (CP) CRMGWCUS03_0-20011654.ZIP from maket place? If so, did you also do the upload of the CP to the CRM server and the user assignment?

Please note that SP03 requires also customization package for SP03 (the one from SP02 does not work with SP03).

Hi,

Thank you for your reply,

Yes, I downloaded corresponding CP, after that I changed all fields which are connected with this zip file but it still doesn't work.

Hello,

what do you mean by "changing all fields which are connected with this zip file".

If you have downloaded the zip-file from market place, you have to go to the IMG of the CRM server and use the upload function of the CP. After this you have to assign the uploaded CP to a user or business role or default determination. You should not change anything within the zip file (unless you want to do some enhancements like adding/removing some fields ).

Hi guys!

I solved this problem! The problem was with two of the files. I downloaded a bad version for Client and Server files.

@Jorn

It's impossible to downgrade installed components which are connected with/ base on ABAP so the idea with changing service isn't good.

Have a nice day! 🙂

Hi,

did you check transaktion /n/IWBEP/REG_SERVICE for Service /CRMGWS/GROUPWARE_SYNC (version 1)? It should show DATA-Provider-Class: /CRMGWS/CL_GROUPWAR_03_DPC_EXT and technical model /CRMGWS/GROUPWARE_SYNC_MDL_03 ?

As PE SP02 corresponds with Model Version 3:

Jorn,

thank you for your response,

I've checked this and it looks:

So probably I installed incorrect version of something?

No, you've just installed the most resent ABAP SP.

Just an idea: Try to change the service /CRMGWS/GROUPWARE_SYNC (assign DATA-Provider-Class: /CRMGWS/CL_GROUPWAR_03_DPC_EXT and technical model /CRMGWS/GROUPWARE_SYNC_MDL_03)

- this is what we did, and now we can sync again -

or raise an OSS-Message as proposed by Michael. I understood, that the Version 04 should be downwards compatible.

Jörn

I tried to change this but system's setting don't allow me to change it.

hmh, I assume you did not try do change it in your development system. May I suggest to just ask your SAP Basis to assist you. I think a how-to on changing customizing settings should not be part of this threat.
