Hi,
At a client we use extended notifications for notifying users about new workitems. Send as html - multiple. The problem is, that it takes up to 120 seconds to open the email in Microsoft Outlook... that is not user friendly. I know we can change to plain text or copy and modify the bsp application which compose the message - any other suggestions?
It looks like the problem is related to a java script section in the top of the source.
SAP Basis 702 sp12.
Thanks,
Claus.
Hi Claus,
Refer to SAP note 1448241 - WF Notif: E-mails in HTML format in Outlook 2007
Microsoft Outlook 2007 no longer uses Internet Explorer as a "Rendering Engine" for HTML email. Instead, the "Engine" of the installed Word version is used. This "Engine" has different restrictions when displaying HTML documents; read the following Knowledge Base and MSDN article:
Hope it helps
Regards
Sandy

Thanks a lot, Sandy. Actually it is good shot - I will double check if the problem is also when using other mail clients - like the one on iPad etc. It's my idea, that the issue is caused by trying to communicate with a local server which is behind a firewall and not part of the dns - a call made in the java script section.
