schema owner assignment resets

Hi

I am using Power Designer 16.5.3.3 and my DBMS is set to DB2.

I have assigned the schema owner to all my tables once I have converted them from logical to Physical.  But subsequently whenever I had to make changes in my logical model and regenerate physical model, I seem to lose my schema owner assignment.  When I generate physical model, I set the flag "Preserve Modifications' on the PDM Generation Options.  I also deselect all options at the model level on the "Merge Model" dialog box and check on only those tables I have touched and select all actions manually on those few tables, while migrating the changes from logical to physical.

Is there something I am doing, causing me to lose the schema owner assignment?

thanks

Krishna

Hi Krishna,

I do not have that version of PowerDesigner and tested your scenario with PDes 16.5.4.4 (SP04, PL04). I cannot reproduce your issue.

I created a simple logical model, go to Tools, Generate Physical Data Model targeting DB2 UDB 9.0. Then in the PDM, created an Owner on the table. Then went back into the LDM, added an attribute, regenerate the model with the Preserve modifications turned on. I made no changes in the Merge Dialog and my owner information was preserved in the PDM.

I would either try again or look to see if you can upgrade.

Sorry, wish I had a more direct answer.
