Hi Vassilis ,
System Configuration also depends on the number of users and the data on daily basis , as the data size grow day by day with in 3 ,4 years it can reach upto 100 GB in that case if your system configuration is not good then you can get issue related to speed and data storage . i will recommend you RAM of 64 GB and atleast 1 TB hard disk and your Server is ok i.e. 2008 R2.

Make sure you are running with SQL Server 2008 or newer. A good rule is what a previous family of business one uses in resources double it. So lets say under normal circumstances in 8.8 the system was using 4 gigs of ram, it would be best to use 8 for version 9.
SAP also suggests that windows 7 or higher be used as the client.

Hi Vassillis,
You already have SAP document then you should follow it.
It depends on how many users concurrent log in. Plus how your network set up.
Best to keep it mind that business will grow and for that purpose hardware should have accordingly.
For 9.1 go at least for xeon processor and 8 gb of ram for server
For client core I3 and 4 GB ram is good.

Chintan
