Formatting changes done in custom task are not reflected in UWL.

Hi Experts,

I have formatted text under description tab of custom task to display some words in bold font .

For eg.

<H>Text</>

But these changes are not reflecting in portal (UWL).

when I changed the text the text changes got reflected in UWL.

Do you have any idea why formatting changes are not getting reflected in UWL?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Thanks all for your replies.

I refreshed workflows as well as UWL and tried few suggestion given by you but it seems that this functionality is not possible.

Hi Ninad

You can also add a custom UWL configuration for the task on SAP Portal to achieve this requirement.

This configuration will over ride the task description from backend. Look at property emphasizedItems="new"  in View

As far as I remember correctly, UWL should support simple formatting (bold, underline, etc.). Anyhow, I am not sure about this. I know that there are restrictions and for example HTML tags will not work.

Can you see the tags <H> etc. in the text in UWL (or does it look like the change didn't have an effect at all)? Do you have the bold text in backend in business workplace when testing?

After changes, did you start new workflows from beginning? The change might not have an effect to the existing work items.

Clear the UWL cache also (Portal:> System admin -> System config -> UWL -> Cache administration).

Kind regards,

Karri

Run transaction SWU_OBUF to clear the cache. Re-register the system in UWL administration tab in SAP Portal System Administration.
