Automatic Custom Serial Number Creation

Hello all,

My company needs material specific serial numbers. For example;

for XYZ material, XYZ23-XXXX

for KLM material, KLM25-XXXX

So I searched the internet and came up with EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001 user exit.

But I couldn't make it work, I need to see a working code with this user exit.

Can you provide a working code for EXIT_SAPLIPW1_001 exit.
