How to transfer Customized Field Values to EWM through CIF

Hi,

We have developed one customized view in the material master in ECC 6.0. In that view, there is one customized field whose value needs to be transferred to EWM system using CIF (Core Interface). From the functional point of view, do we have to make any configuration for the interface for that customized field? Please suggest the configuration steps so that the customized field value should be transfered to EWM.

Thanks

Hi Alex,

We have already created the custom fields and now visible in Material master. My query is "Do I have to do any configiration from functional point of view for transfering those custom field values to EWM through Core InterFace?"

When I execute CFM1 and CFM2, does the system automatically picks those custom field values and transmit to EWM? Or Do I have to mention those custom fields in configuration so that system picks those custom field values while transmitting through CFM1 & CFM2?

SBS,

Not configuration.  You need to create a user exit for CIF.  The posting Alex provided explains that in steps 7 and 8.  You would need to do the same type of exit in EWM to receive your custom fields.

Hi,

Thanks for suggesting the steps. I have one small query. When I execute CFM2 transaction to transfer the data from ECC to EWM, is there any transaction where I can see the log of CFM2, means Can I see what are the field values transferred from ECC to EWM? When I execute CFM2, system says "Activation or Deactivation of the selected models is complete". How to check which field values are transferred successfully and which field values did not pass through?

Please suggest.

Thanks
