Hi Experts,

Hope you all are doing fine.

I am facing one issue while trying to import the extraced file into MDG. I have extrcated the files from ECC and uploaded them onto the server successfully. But when I am trying to import it into MDG it is giving error as No file Selected for Import.

Please find below the screenshots of the configuration done and assist with your valuable reply.

Hi Rahul,

please make sure that the field Length under the Syntax Group Definition has higher value as the length of the complete file directory path together with the file name.

Hi Hunny,

according to your screenshots, there are not files but only subfolders in "ZMDG_TRANSFER". The reaction of the system is valid.

Hi Michael,

In the third screenshot files are pesent within Profit Center Folder which are uploaded after being extracted from ECC.

Plese check and let me know the steps to be followed or to be rectified to achiveve successful import.

Waiting for your valuable reply.

Hi Hunny,

Screen 1:

ZMDG_Transfer points to /Transfer/Finance

Screen 2:

ZMDG_Transfer contains only subfolders, but no files

Screen 3:

/Transfer/Finance/ProftiCenter contains a couple of files. But this subfolder is not(!!!) ZMDG_Transfer.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply.

As suggested I chnaged the ZMDG_TRANSFER path so that it will now point to /Transfer/Finance/ProfitCenter where the files are present.

Please see the screenshot below, still getting the same error.

Please let me know what more needs to be make correct.

Thanks

Hi Hunny,

another reason might be your mix of upper and mixed case in the term ZMDG_TRANSFER (e.g. first screenshot states ZMDG_Transfer).

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply.

I changed the name of directory parameter name to ZMDG_TRANSFER so that it will match the logical file path as suggsted by you.

Still I am getting the same error.

One more thing I want to highlight is I chnaged the syntax group from UNIX to Windows NT and then it shows the below screen when I click on Show directory content but for UNIX it only shows the same error like "No file selected for import".

Is that anything needs to be done with syntax group. Please assist.

Thanks

Hi Hunny,

the creation of the folders and files depend on the actual file system of the application server. Maybe you could double-check the same with your basis team? It's difficult to check everything via SCN.

Hi Bharath,

If al the configuration is in place and you are not able to view files in show directory content then the issue is with source code of DIF framework.

Please apply the note 2148768 in the system and try to import the data.

Thanks
