NWDS (7.31) issue at first load - timed out

Hello,

we upgraded our Portal to 7.40.   According to note 1791485 - NWDS 7.3 EHP1 as development environment for SAP NetWeaver 7.4

I installed NWDS 7.31.

Problem is that first load of NWDS takes 40 minutes !!! With a lot of Timed Out message.  But if I close NWDS (when finally loaded) and restart it the load is in less then 1 minute...

According to this documentation:

Viewing the Error Log File

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/46/8bf063332600fde10000000a11466f/content.htm

I checked the log file.  And I found Timed Out messages:

Solved.

It was due to anti-virus...

Hi Vincent,

I'm facing the same problem. I installed NWDS and could open it on friday, but today, after restarting my computer, i have the same error message.

What was exaclty the problem with antivirus ?

Unfortunatly i can't desactivate the antivirus on my computer (it's protected against desactivation).

I also tried to launch NWDS using administrator mode, but nothing changed.

I'm using Java SDK 1.6u33 32bit and i think this version is ok because i could opened it on friday and could test to create products, etc.

But today, without changing anything in the configuration, NWDS can't launch.

Thanks in advance if you can help me to resolve this issue.

Regards

Olivier
