3FI_SL_C1_TT - Procedure of extracting data with delta

Dear experts,

I try to load FI-SL data with delta.

We use extractor 3FI_SL_C1_TT and have implemented the start routine from note 577644 to create 0balance within the transformation.

Delta is only available for actuals so we select data only for valuetype 10 as recommended.

I read that I have to do a full update of the closed periods.

To load the carryforward from 2014 I have to select 000.2015 and load it with a full load.

Till now every thing is clear.

But what are the next steps?

What do I have to select within the infopackage for the init load of the open periods (current year)?

After executing the init load: how do I have to define the delta load?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Mirjam

Hi,

After having run an infopackage as an init infopackage (infopackage/Schedule/Update/Initialize Delta Process) you should see that the infopackege has become normal delta package (infopackage/Schedule/Update/Delta update). That infopackage can be started everyday (eg. in process chains).

However I've seen some situations when for some reasons there were used two separated infopackages. The init one and the delta one.

Hi Raman und Leslow,

what I mean ist not the question about "at first start an init and after that change to delta".

My question was with regards to content. I wanted to know what to select?

I excecuted a full load for the carryforward with selection 000.2015.

Now I have to do an initial load to get data for year 2015 - which selections do I have to enter?

001.2015-016.2015?

Period 012.2014-016.2014 are still open for booking...

Hi,

If you don't intend to use many cubes: each for one year (it should be considered while a lot of data is going to be stored) I think you should rather choose selection 001.2015 - 016.9999.

Of course selection for all open periods (e.g. 012.2014 - 016.2014 ) should be considered.

For all selections run an init infopackage first otherwise you disturb delta loading.

Hi Leszek,

we use cube for each year.

So when the periods of the previous year (2014) is not closed, too, I have to work with them

the same as with cube for current year and do at first an init for the whole year and after that a Delta for whole year.

For current year cube I try do init/Delta with 001.2015 - 016.9999. But what do I do with the carryforward -

I can´t do only once a full, case with every new data record for 2014 it will Change.

What is the best practise with carryforward in this case?

Hi,

I don't see any problem in it. Each document should be extracted once from ECC.

The sequence is not important. You may extract documents relating to different values of 0fiscper.

I assume carryforward bookings works like any other. However I'm not a booking specialist.

Hi,

sap help loading procedure recommends loading carryforward only as full load and no Delta...

Hi,

Check with FI team and use required selections to do the init.

Once you done init, next time onwards you can run delta info pack.

Once you done init nothing is required at delta info pack, just you can execute it.

As per the init selections delta will pulls the data.

Thanks
