More Records in PSA COMPARED TO IN DATASOURCE

Former Member

While working on FI Extraction, when I checked the total number of records for 0FI_GL_4 in RSA3 in source system, It was 799 records.

But when I replicated in BW system and loaded into PSA, then there were 2,105 records ( 912 records in 1st Data Package and 1193 records in 2nd Data Package). Can u please explain me about how these extra number of records came in BW System.

Thanks,

Shruti.

Hi,

At RSA3, have you used any selections?

what display/extractor calls you used?

At RSA3

Try to increase data records 1000

display extr calls - 99 and later do the extraction.

see the count and compare with bw.

it may matches.

Thanks

Hi Raman,

I changed the settings as said by you.

It worked perfectly.

Now, the total number of records are matching in both Source system and BW System.

So, the conclusion is - The actual number of records are the ones which are showed in BW System.

Please correct me If m wroung.

Thanks,

Shruti

Hi Raman,

Here is my one more doubt related to the data extraction from source system to BW system.

When m checking the Number of records in RSA3 in source system, there are 1009 records.

But when m checking in PSA, I could see only 605 records.

The infopackage setting is Init with data transfer.

What happened to the rest of the records?

Will you please tell me what should I do to see all records in BW same as present in source system.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

Where your facing this problem?

Production or dev system?

is your info pack - init with data transfer load was completed?

Can you check your PSA -->manage-->see there, requests are green or yellow or red?

if possible then delete psa data and again reload full load info pack.

Later check/see the record count at PSA, it will match with RSA3..

in future please open new discussion for new issues.

Thanks

Hi Raman,

I was facing this in Production system.

I deleted the data in PSA and again loaded with FULL Load.

Now the records are matching.

yes, will make sure to open new discussion for new issues.

Thank you.

Hi,

RSA3 does not call extractor same way your BW system does. Try to increase numer of records to 3000 verify if your extractor is called in same mode (delta/full)

Hi Adam,

It worked out. Thanks.

Please clear my below doubt -

The actual number of records are the ones which are showed in BW System.

Please correct me If m wroung.

Thanks,

Shruti

In principle it should be the number displayed in BW, but sometimes if you want to read all the delta queue on source systems remember to call data source twice, especially when delta is date-based

Adam.
