Regarding Time Management

Former Member

Hello Friends,

I am using TM04 schema in time management. As per the definition of -ve TM, we can only record deviations. these deviations may be absences, substitutes, overtime and leave quota carry forward.

But in my opinion TM04 is only useful to record absences, because we can maintain OT hrs and substitution in IT2010 and quota carry forward may be maintained in table V_T559L thru "validity/deduction interval" by mentioning all 9s in relative position.

I am seeking more input if any as far as TM04 functionality is concerned.

regards,

Amit

Hi Amit,

You can use TM04 for negative time management where you can store deviations related to IT2001, IT2002, IT2003 and so on. IT2011 is not involved here.

Quotas are applicable for both negative and positive time management. Even overtime is applicable for both negative and positive time management. However, their handling will be slightly different in terms of configuration etc.

Overtime is also a deviation to the planned working hours.

I hope this answers your query.

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for your response.

Here is it advisable to maintain the OT hrs thru TM04? bcz as far as i know if we use TM04 without clock time, we should not maintain OT hrs thru TM04, as per the SAP given functionality we must use IT2010 to maintain OT hrs.

Eventually there is no need of TM04 except to store DWS/PWS for further reporting purpose and the same PWS will transfer to payroll driver for further payroll calculation, pls correct me if i am wrong.

I don't see any other utility of TM04.

Amit

Hi Amit,

We can generate OT hours in TM04 also if you are in negative time management. If you go through the standard schema, it has given solutions for overtime.

You don't need to go through IT2010. IT2010 doesn't get called in time evaluation at all. It gets called in payroll.

Who told you that we should not maintain OT hours through TM04?

Thanks and regards,

Hi Vive,

Can you suggest me how can we maintain OT hrs in TM04, As i know, we have to maintain regular attendance quota (without deduction rule) and further we can use V_T510S is the table to maintain conditions for OT.

In case of TM04, you need to maintain IT2002 for the times for which the employee will do overtime.

You need to assign processing type M to the time pair with pair type 2 and time id 01.

This time pair will get processed in T510S to generate overtime wage type. You can go through the below document regarding T510S configuration and for process further ahead.

As far i know, Even though you are using negative time management you can execute time evaluation i.e you can write a rule to carry forward the leave balance else you go for an option 999 with 31.12.9999 so system cumulates the values in a single record later OT, availability is as well depends on the requirement from customer, you can use following IT's as well 2003 substitutions,2005, Over time, 2010 employee remuneration information, 2004 availability etc.

You can generate a wage type in negative time management as well with the help of V_T510S or  PCR and booking OT hours in IT 2002 with an attendance type Finally at the end of the day values will be appeared in TIP and TOP query it and generate a wage type either using T510S or PCR later same process query ZL table and pay the amount.
