Issue in Design Studio1.4 initial view - Cannot find any data to display

Hi Experts,

In design studio initial view I could not able to see data when I add dimension to columns. I kept measures in rows and I am able to see measures values when there is only measure in rows. But if I add dimension in columns I am facing the below issue.

Data source is from HANA1.06. In HANA I am able to see the data for all months and years but when it comes to design studio I could not see. below is the screen shot of my data from flat file.

I faced no issue til design studio1.3.  Can any one help me to get rid of this please. Need to do anything specifically while importing flat file into hana? or any new steps in design studio 1.4?

Thanks

Hi Mathivanan, I am also facing the same issue and getting data in other data sources from all other view, but not from particular view. Did you get any solution of it? Regards, Ruchi

Hi - please take a look at the Design Studio 1.4 PAM / product availability matrix at https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/012002523100018972812014E

I interpret this to mean you need to be at HANA SPS9, and you are on 6, hence on the surface the version of HANA you are using may not be supported with Design Studio (my interpretation)

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for your reply. I checked the DS1.4 PAM. As you said there clearly mentioned HANA SPS9 should be there.. But for curiosity I have created another hana view with different set of data and that is working fine in Design studio. Below is the screenshot

Here i am able to add dimension in rows and i can see the data.. So I don't think HANA version would be a problem(My guess).

Hi Mathi,

You are right, some times data will not show in edit intial view, and if you take that view as new datasource it will show. Even I faced same problem. I think if there is any changes in Variables definition in Bex or Hana view. It will not reflect in existing datasource which is using that view.

Best thing is clear the log files,  delete that datasource and restart the application and recreate the datasource with that Hana View. So it will reflect in edit intial view.

Thanks and Regards
