SXI_CACHE user not authorised and locking password

I am running XI 3.0 (sp12) on MS Cluster 2003, oracle 9.2.0.6.

I am getting errors with the sxi_cache refresh.

I have checked the sm59 connection on INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, but always asks for user and password. I have recreated this entry many times.

I have checked the password in exchangeProfile.

I always seem to get the following when refreshing cache..

Unable to refresh cache contents

Error during last attempt to refresh cache

HTTP status code401 Unauthorized

The XIISUSER has SAP_XI_IS_SERV_USER_MAIN.

I have followed the instructions on How to Handle caches in SAP XI 3.0 but that doesn't help.

It seems to lock password after one attempt - even if the correct password is put in... All other clients are fine - just my dev client playing up.

Anyone have any suggestions??

I searched the forum but couldn't find anything the same - similar but the recommendations didn't work.
