UDF field become wider after increase the length, how to make it normal?

This morning, looks like I make a mistake, my users wants to add more length Delivery Note No. in user-defined-field, so yes I increased it to 50

but some other time, the users complain about textfield in SAP become wider.

Please guide me how to make the field back to normal?
