Stop stock allocation during STO creation

Hi Experts

Issue:
Stock Transfer Order (UB STO) created with a long leadtime (delivery date = 4 months ahead) are allocating stock and
preventing some sales orders to be shipped.
Business needs to remove, manually, the stock from the STO orders to release the inventory and prioritize the sales orders.

Requirement:

- Stop stock allocation for these STOs with long leadtime

- The stock should be allocated and confirmed only during the delivery creation for the STO (VL10B)

Could you please advise on a solution for this issue?

Thank you,

José,

Change the availability check for the sales documents so that they ignore STO requirements.

SCM IMG > APO > GATP > Product Availability check > Maintain check control.  Select your checking group, and business event A.  Remove ATP categories BH and BI.

Remember, that logically then this means that sales orders will be able to 'steal' stock from undelivered STO's.  You will have to create the STO delivery before you can be guaranteed that the STO will actually be shipped to the destination plant.

HI Santos,

given the issue, i am think a solution as follows:

1. Create a new atp category for these requirements.

2. Create/use the business event of delivery creation.

3. the atp group with a combination of this business event will have the requirement created in 1 above.

4. Stock/receipts of this atp group will be as per users choice.

let us know if that helps.

thanks,

regards
